Meetings vary in concept – and so do conference rooms. Naturally, it’s preferable if all this can be held in the same location – which is where we at Holiday Inn come in. We have over 120 hotels in the UK and Ireland alone, all fitted with air-conditioned, fully equipped conference rooms. These include classrooms suitable for training events and breakout sessions; U-shaped boardrooms for diplomatic negotiations; theatre-style conference rooms for large-scale presentations, and banqueting suites. Not surprisingly, people return to us on a regular basis, so we also offer a dedicated service for complex and multi-bookings, with specially trained co-ordinators who efficiently remove all the headache of booking conference rooms at multiple venues, or on multiple dates.
Usually when booking conference rooms, it’s a matter of juggling budgets with facilities. Business suites are equipped with everything you need – except somewhere to eat and sleep. Hotels, meanwhile, offer accommodation and conference rooms – at high cost and with precious little in the way of support or equipment. At Holiday Inn, we’ve combined the best of everything. We offer a low-cost, all-in-one package that includes fully equipped conference rooms with internet access, stationery, audio-visual equipment, telecommunications and refreshments. It also includes a dedicated Meetings Host – basically your own personal assistant who will help plan, organise and equip your business event from initial booking to final check-out.
It gives a company credence if they can use the same venue for all their events. Delegates become familiar with the layout and local amenities, leading to a relaxed and proactive work space. At Holiday Inn, we pride ourselves that people return to us again and again, drawn by our high efficiency, low costs and wide range of facilities. When organising a conference, you must never forget the importance of high quality catering. However, many hotels provide business delegates with calorific, microwaved stodge, which sits heavy on the stomach and the mind. We at Holiday Inn offer light, enticing and nutritious food that’s guaranteed to get the brainwaves zinging – our Simply Uplifting menus were designed specifically to aid concentration and performance at business meetings.
There are many ways to improve production and output – and it starts with a motivated work force. At Holiday Inns, we hire out our conference rooms for training, corporate hospitality and team-building events at very reasonable rates. If you have a special presentation we can organise entertainers, after-dinner speakers, flowers and dress the room for you. We can also arrange team-building challenges such as quad-biking, paint-balling and orienteering – with the benefit that participants will have a warm, comfortable hotel room to retire to afterwards.
